Privacy policy
In force since 20 October 2026.
Below is the list of what reaches us, the reason it does, and the ways you can have it changed or removed. It applies to horizonfilmlab.com and to anything bought through it.
Who is responsible
Ramos Digital Ltd, registered in England and Wales, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described here. Reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, when you buy something or write to us. This is how files are delivered and how sessions are arranged.
- Payment details, which we never see. Card numbers go straight to Stripe. What comes back to us is the amount, the currency, the country of the card, the last four digits and whether it worked.
- What you sent us for review, if you bought a Footage Review — the video file and anything you wrote with it.
- Messages you write to us, kept in the mailbox like any other email.
- Basic traffic data: pages opened, rough location by country, and the kind of device. Aggregated, not tied to a name.
We do not ask for a postal address, a phone number or a date of birth, because nothing we sell needs them.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Your email address and purchase record: because we have a contract with you and cannot deliver otherwise. Accounting records: because UK law requires us to keep them. Traffic data and messages: our legitimate interest in running and defending the site, balanced against your privacy — which is why the traffic data is aggregated.
Who else handles it
- Stripe — payments. Their privacy terms apply to the card data they hold.
- Our email provider — to send and receive the messages.
- Our hosting and CDN provider — to serve this site.
- Our accountant — sees transaction records, not your correspondence.
We do not sell your data, do not rent it, and do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. If a lawful order ever required disclosure we would comply, and tell you unless we were forbidden to.
Email we send
We send the file you bought, the messages needed to arrange a session, and nothing else. There is no newsletter. If we ever start one it will be opt-in and will not be bundled into a purchase.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Stripe sets what it needs to process a payment and to detect fraud, on its own pages, and that is outside our control. There is no consent banner here because there is nothing to consent to.
How long we keep things
- Purchase and accounting records: six years, as UK tax law requires.
- Video you sent for review: deleted ninety days after the review is delivered, unless you ask us to delete it sooner — we will do it the same day.
- Email correspondence: two years, then deleted.
- Aggregated traffic data: twelve months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. Write to [email protected] and we answer within thirty days, usually much sooner.
The one thing we cannot delete on request is the accounting record of a payment, because we are required to keep it. Everything else goes.
If you think we handled your data badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
Where your data sits
Our providers operate in the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States. Where data reaches the United States it is covered by the standard contractual clauses those providers publish.
Children
Nothing here is aimed at under-18s and we do not knowingly hold their data. If you believe a child's information reached us, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
Any substantive revision gets a fresh date at the head of this page. Where a revision affects somebody who has already bought from us, we write to them as well.
